Re: Annette_15 at WSOPE final table
So what was more impressive, this or winning a $4/180 not looking at her hole cards?

er - Annette is Norwegian (from Stavanger I think) and the tourney was held in London- why would US taxes enter into it? I don't think that the UK would deduct tax from another EU national's winnings (as UK citizens would pay no tax on winnings anyway) - whether she has to pay tax on the winnings in Norway is something our Norwegian 2+2'ers will havw to comment on. [/ QUOTE ] Norway is not a EU member. She will definitely have to pay tax on the winnings in Norway, probably 28%. Congrats to Annette, very strong result, and this is very good for poker as well. |

How big was the total field? The age factor is quite impressive.

Re: Annette_15 at WSOPE final table
She probably had more tourney experience than anyone in the field.

Re: Annette_15 at WSOPE final table
WSOP of Europe??? Come on, was Ivey there and taking it serious? What's next the WSOP of Africa? There is only one WSOP and they wouldn't allow a 19 year old to play, so as far as I am concerned she is a paper champion.

Re: Annette_15 at WSOPE final table
lol - so you're saying that Europe doesn't have any good poker players?
There were plenty of the more well known US pro's at the event. |

Re: Annette_15 at WSOPE final table
I'm saying, WSOP Europe? Come on now, do it at the real WSOP and maybe I give her credit. And if a 12 year old won this event, would you also give them credit? I say she won the lottery, she's 19, how can she be declared the best when there are players that have been playing longer than she has been alive? Come on, let's be rational here, it's a joke.
