Dangerous? They had him pinned to the ground! How dangerous is he at that point? You get his arms back, handcuff him and throw him out. I don't see how it's dangerous to anyone once he's pinned down, has handcuffs on him, and is being escorted out of the building by 6 cops. I'm not buying your explanation as an excuse to use the taser on him.

[/ QUOTE ]
He was barely pinned (you can see him struggling in the short version), not in handcuffs, and there's only 5 cops, one of which is a woman and all but one of which this guy is taller than.

Here's another version showing how much he was resisting.

According to the long version:
"I couldnt get to my camera in time to record his entrance, but this guy basically comes running in with 4 or 5 cops in tow and says he has been running around trying to get in to ask a question and the cops are going to arrest him for it. they almost do it then but Sen. Kerry says he will answer it. he then answers a previous question someone else asked (i cut that part out because it isnt important to this video) then the guy asks his questions and when he is done all hell breaks lose. to the cop haters: i have no doubt the cops were going exactly by the book, the problem isnt them, its the book! they were doing their job and looked just as confused as this kid (this isnt something that they deal with often)."

So it doesn't sound like he waited his turn and said something the cops didn't like. It sounds like he barged into this place and grabbed the mike and the police just didn't want to make a scene at first.

interesting how editing, or just when you start/stop, can completely color the whole incident.

I love how he says "there are people who know that I'm here... you can't.. you can't just like.. kill me".

The tasering seems pretty justified since he was disrupting the event and was being removed but started wrestling and trying to get away.

This guy is just a total attention whore who has an obvious political agenda against John Kerry.

He wanted this whole thing to happen. What a douchebag.

this incident reminds me of this . The common theme being that both the students look like complete douches in the end.

[/ QUOTE ] Joke? Was there some final resolution to this video I am unaware of? In this the one the kid is basically tazed until he is immobile and then tazed some more for being immobile (he won't stand up). IIRC it also stemmed from him not having his student ID in the library.

I'm seriously wondering if there's some sort of law stating that you need to walk on your own 2 feet if placed under arrest. In this and the UCLA tasering, the officers are basically already carrying the individual and get to random points where they throw them down. Then they demand that the UCLA kid gets up again? wtf..

Both kids are retards, but WTF is with the police not being able to CONTINUE carrying a person another 5 feet?!?!

Also, whoever keeps stating that "OMG A POLICEMAN IS FAT AND ONE IS A WOMEN!~~" .... so? I'm guessing she can't just get hired by filling in her age. She's wearing a uniform, she better be able to do SOMETHING. Also, do you think you need to be a man or in shape to carry someone? You have 4-6 police officers there, ALL of which can help carry the guy.

The bouncer case is great. If random bouncers, not every bouncer is feakishly huge either, can get to a peaceful resolution then why can't TRAINED officers?

So, since the officers BARELY pinned him and wouldn't place cuffs on him- they have the right to taser the dude?

Com'on, the officers could have placed the cuffs on at any time they wanted... their incompetence doesn't make the tasering just.

Why doesn't resisting arrest make the tasering just? That seems to be the main point of tasering, right? I guess it can be used to stop people if the cop thinks they are about to harm someone, but I thought that was what guns were for.

the kid was an idiot punk. according to what i've read he is a very immature professional loud mouth. however, those cops tasered to "punish" from what i saw, which is illegal, and they should lose their jobs. 2 cops, 4 cops, 6 cops or whatever, they had him on the ground controlled. the taser should have never come out and they will suffer the consequences, i believe. and they should.

Did you even watch the videos? At least one angle (short version, I believe) shows this guy clearly yanking his arms away from the officers trying to cuff him.
