Connection issues

See if any of this makes sense.

I had a span of three days last week during which I could not access twoplustwo, as well as many other parts of the internet. When my connection returned to normal, everything was loading MUCH slower then normal. Also, google had changed my home page from english to turk, and I can no longer access bodog client, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, etc (stars still works).

Windows XP sp2
high speed cable internet via roadrunner.
Networked through a wireless router with password protection
standard roadrunner firewall.

I've never had a problem like this before...
