Default Floor Ruling, Taj 20 game

Preflop, about 12 limpers to the big blind's option.

The big blind has 4 red chips in front of him. He tosses 3 more in one motion, then pulls back for one more for the raise.

Now if this was postflop, since the entire value of the raise wasn't thrown out in one motion and since he didn't verbalize raise, this is a string bet at the Taj. Unlike other casinos, the entire value of the raise must be bet in one motion for it to count, if not, it is a string bet and the raise does not count. Again, assuming the raise wasn't verbalized.

So someone else calls string bet and the dealer tells him it wasn't a raise. The big blind calls the floor (Fuman) and his decision is that the raise stands because its the only thing the big blind can do in that circumstance. Therefore, you dont have to throw the entire value of the raise when using your option from the big blind.

Thoughts? Comments?

Big Blind was picky Ricky, who is a regular and pretty friendly with the floor. This shouldn't matter, but favoritsm can be a factor at the Taj. That being said, Ricky knows better to throw 3 chips for a raise.
