Hello,
villain is 25/20/oo over 35 hands. Am I just too nitty? I figured KK, JJ, AJ would slowdown on turn. So theres not much I beat. Should I 4bet pf in these situations? What if he shoves ? What 3bet range do you put him on?
For an unknown if I haven't seen them 3bet a lot I'll usually be very conservative and put him on AA-QQ/AQ+ We beat only KK from that range so I fold TPTK on this flop. If I think the range is wider say AA-TT, AJ+ I call because he'll fold all that we beat (except maybe AK which we tie) to a raise planning to reevaluate the turn and probably shove it in if the turn is a heart. |

I really couldnt put him on a range because this was the first time he 3bet.
I guess the tight range you suggested should be pretty fitting. Doesnt he cbet KK or AJ here as well? It felt just too weak to fold the flop. |

[ QUOTE ]
Raise to 9, fold to shove here for me. [/ QUOTE ] I don't like that line much at all--you put in half your stack before folding. IMO, it's either fold flop or be willing to get it all in (which might mean calling down instead of pushing). Hero's actual line loses both to better hands and to bluffs (and limited stats suggest Villain may be aggressive, so a bluff doesn't seem out of the question). The plausible hands you beat are AJ, KK, maybe JJ and occasionally some trash that was 3-betting light. You don't necessarily stack those hands either, whereas if you decide to get all in, you do get stacked by AA, QQ, TT, AQ, and the unlikely AT or KJ. Weak as it seems, I think flop is a fold without a read that either a) Villain is a donk who thinks top pair is DA NUTS, or b) Villain is very bluff-happy. |

if hes 25/20 you definitely should be 4betting here almost all the time.

Yea I really think your line is so weak with such a strong hand from steal pos that he is moving you off the best hand a lot of the time, I would have 4 bet PF. I don't like your line at all, i think your losing $ by playing AKhh that way.
