NFL Pool Debate
i am hoping for some feedback on an issue in a nfl pick'em pool i am in. all lines are adjusted to end in a 1/2 point. the issue i have is that there is no set procedure on how the lines are adjusted.
basically the commisioner said it depends what kind of a mood he is in as to bumping up or down the 1/2. when he sent last weeks lines out he had NE -2.5 and Det -2.5, the second i saw those lines i knew he would be taking NE and Det. his argument is that everyone picks from the same lines. mine is that he has the ability to shade in favor of the team he intends to pick. i suggested taking the lines from a specific local paper and bumping all even lines up or down the 1/2 to avoid any decisions. |

Re: NFL Pool Debate
what's wrong with not changing the lines at all and just counting a push as a push?

what's wrong with not changing the lines at all and just counting a push as a push? [/ QUOTE ] i believe the thinking is that pushes increase the chances of their being an tie for the weekly win. |
