What to do with these 88\'s
The Sunday Mulligan,$200+16
Blinds: 40/80 Villian (8,080) in CO+1 raises to 240 Hero (3,430) w/ 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villian is fairly taggish but not ridiculously tight or anything like that. Hero hasn't defended his BB yet. What should I do with eights here? Fold Call for set Reraise to 720 and A) fold to push B) call push ? |

Re: What to do with these 88\'s
I usually call here, I would much rather 3bet KT or 65s or somethin. Also I'm def playing for more than set value when i do call.

Re: What to do with these 88\'s
I call here too, take a flop and go from there, as bakes says i wouldnt be 3betting 88 here.
88 is a bogey hand for me so anything i say may be anti-88. |

Re: What to do with these 88\'s
call is pretty standard for defending against a raise from co+1. You don't want to be shoving pf here, and you can get value from playing post-flop well.

Call, but you can't fold everytime you miss a set. Reraise/call is also OK.

I'd be really interested as to why you wouldn't 3 bet 88 here but would 3 bet the other hands you mention? I prob wouldn't 3 bet it myself but am interested why it's be okay witb the other hands you mention? (Easier to get rid of if 4 bet maybe?) Thanks |

Re: What to do with these 88\'s
You would 3bet KT because there's no way you are going to call and play it OOP.
