Some spots from deepish in WCOOP $530
Keep in mind that these are all deep in a WCOOP event, so people are pretty scared. In all of them there's an ante of 1/10 the BB, so pots are off by a BB or so.
If you think it's a bet, say how much. Hand 1: Villain was very tight on the bubble, and I'd basically been opening every pot. But the bubble just burst like an orbit ago, so I've slowed down and I don't really know how he's responded. This is the only hand all tourney where I was just completely lost. Re: Some spots from deepish in WCOOP $530
Hand 1 4bet pf I don't think its close either you have like 40bbs and AQs bvb.
Hand 2 I think both villains are folding turn very rarely so i check and hope to hit a club. Hand 3: I cannot tell you how bad pf is just fold seriously. If you are going to raise make it like 15k because basically all the value in raising comes from picking up the pot without showdown. Once you get there I think I check turn the problem is ya an ace is a good bluff card. But its a lot better on like a 482 flop turn A. On this specific board I think the ace helps his range a lot. |

Re: Some spots from deepish in WCOOP $530
H1- I almost always 4bet pf, what worse hand calls your shove on the turn?
H2- check, multiway pot, no reason to commit yourself when there's a chance of getting a free river H3- I don't get pf, your raise size gives him odds to call just about everything given stack sizes. |

Re: Some spots from deepish in WCOOP $530
1. I'd four-bet pre-flop. Given his most likely holding, I really like shoving the turn. He'll call often enough to make this more profitable than leading the river really small, which he'll call always, and he'll never call anything more than 1/3 PSB on the river.
2. Obviously, you need to get two players to fold their overpairs, which isn't going to happen, so check. 3. If you take this line pf, which I think is reasonable, then you have to fire again here. The point of pf is that villain puts more money (which is why raise size is fine) in the pot with a medium strength hand and then has to play it OOP. This is great. He calls a raise and calls a flop bet and then quits. So carry on betting. ` |

Re: Some spots from deepish in WCOOP $530
hand 1 i guess is ok, i don't think he has [censored] because of how he's betting, but your best chance of getting his money is to put it in
hand 2 check, for multiple reasons hand 3 i like somewhere in the 35-40k neighborhood. and it would be real ill if you shoved the river |

I thought he was probably pretty strong given preflop, and that seems to be the general consensus from people I've showed this to. I think betting here and checking back the river would be total spew. |

I don't have crazy reads on this guy cause I just got moved, but given the way that this tourney's been playing and the fact that he's been tight so far, when he open limps the HJ, I'm raising my BU small with any two because sometimes he just folds to that straight and the vast majority (70%ish) of the time he calls that and c/folds to a c-bet. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, he's pretty strong pre-flop. Now he's either ridiculously strong (a small boat, perhaps even a big one) or relatively weak (wtf do I do with my KK?). I think you can only consider how to get value in the latter case because he's almost always going to shove the river with trips and you're always calling. |
