Re: Beat: Absolute is *actually* rigged (serious) (read me)
That AP story was posted last February, which means that if it's accurate, AP has been vulnerable to this sort of thing for a long time. I mean, christ... open-folding when your opponent flops a boat?? If the story's true it's time to jump ship from AP.
Also, assuming other cheaters were smart enough to be less blatantly obvious, high stakes AP players could have been getting scammed for a looong time now. |

The Mark Seif story has just turned this affair into "really serious mode". It insinuates that A) Absolute is definitely involved B) It was before the "software update" icfishies plays the bigger stakes limit games on PS, someone needs to find him and have him post here immediately. [/ QUOTE ] I made a thread in the HS LHE forum about this. |

[ QUOTE ] potripper's pokerdb: Date Buyin Tournament/Event Place Entrants Winnings 9/12/2007 $1,000 NL Hold'em 1 98 $30,000.00 7/5/2007 $5 NL Hold'em 234 234 — 7/5/2007 $50 NL Hold'em 140 148 — [/ QUOTE ] that gives some idea, as to when this started. [/ QUOTE ] He did play on the 15th also. Date Buyin Tournament/Event Place Entrants Winnings 9/15/2007 $20 NL Hold'em 197 560 — 9/12/2007 $1,000 NL Hold'em 1 98 $30,000.00 7/5/2007 $5 NL Hold'em 234 234 — 7/5/2007 $50 NL Hold'em 140 148 — The fact that he played on Saturday and was back in a $20 tournament indicates to me that, if he's using a "superuser" account, he probably logs onto it on a second computer. From what I know about these things, the user table in AP's database would probably tag a superuser and I highly doubt someone untagged him in the span of the last few days. So when he wants to see hole cards, he simply logs into his account (POTRIPPER) and plays without seeing anything extra while simultaneously logging into the superuser account on a separate computer and observing any table where he wants to see all of the cards. That's just my best guess anyway... Not really sure why he wouldn't use it on the 15th, but if a few people were splitting use of one superuser account, it's possible that, say, DOUBLEDRAG was using it at a different location and POTRIPPER couldn't sign onto it on Saturday when he was in the tournament. |

Re: Beat: Absolute is *actually* rigged (serious) (read me)
The Seif story could easily be crap, but it's posted by a high stakes player and matches a little too well with what we already know.
If you've read this whole thread and still don't agree that there was cheating going on here, then all I can say is wtf. |
