Villain is 25/7/3, no real reads.

It's either a missed flush draw or a rivered set.

I had the exact same situation 2 times yesterday, and it happened to be a rivered set, but i called because the pot wasn't as big.

If you check behind on the turn, it would be easier to call a PSB on the river I thinks

Not very often.

And don't check behind the turn, you were correct to bet again

what is wrong with checking behind on the turn, then calling PSB on the river ??
at least you get to showdown that way

Until a club comes..

Bet the turn for value/protection, river is usually a fold, looks like AJ or something that wants to look like a draw to get paid off.

the advice here is terrible. we have him on a draw so we give him a free turn so we can call a possible river bet if his draw misses? do you actually think?

Nice hand, well played, also betsizing and folding the river. This is a bluff less than 14% of the time.
