some notes:

- i guess you need a useful video player to view this. WMP doesn't work (audio only; no video). VLC and Miro appear to work.

God, it made my entire computer [censored] a brick. Maybe if whoever mirrors this can chop it up into smaller bits, that would help. Fifty-nine megs made my computer choke, but then again my computer also sucks.

darsh,

did you download the file or try to watch it in your browser somehow?

do you have a useful video-playing program?

my desktop is a P3 1.1 GHz with a shhhhhhitty video card and it plays it fine, so it's probably something you can fix.

I've downloaded and tried Windows media player, realplayer + couple of others, all I get is commentary + black screen. it is a AVI file so it should show on Windows media player.

wtf? you can get thumb drives for <$20 that hold 2 gigs.

ps my favorite part is where tyler takes a bong hit.

I actually liked the video, and the concept of video & audio commentary of HU matches. I think this could be done again more successfully:

* Two people decide to play HU and determine date/time of match, publish in a new thread and stakes. If they choose, they could transfer $ to a trusted escrow 2p2er.
* Use HULA Freezeout rules, using prima play money, to reduce luckbox factor.
* Loser transfer $ to winner (or escrow transfers winnings to winner).
* Sidebets per usual. A designated HU moderator could set a line based on communicating with each player. I realize this is not a perfect science, but it never could be.
* Commentator should be commenting on all hands, and paying attention to the tempo. I think Tyler was a bit..uh..distracted, but entertaining nonetheless. Perhaps two people could do their own separate videos with commentating, and then all could compare. Commentator should be interesting.
* As I suggested in the chatbox, mucked losing hands should be shown (these are picked up by PAH for players at the table anyhow) for observers and the commentator). Again, please understand what this means. i.e. it doesn't affect fairness of match LDO.

Any other ideas?

buzz,

i like your thinking; it matches my own.

i don't have a problem with the SNG setup as it forces the action to move a little faster. i don't know how popular these would be if they were 1.5-2 hour affairs like most HULA matches are.

now that i understand what it entails, i 100% agree that opponents should be showing mucked hands. i retract my lol from the video.

fwiw, the only reason I wasn't showing was that the option to fold mucked was checked when the match started, and I didn't want to leave the table and come back mid-match.

? you don't have to leave table in stars for this, just pull up the lobby window.

Did that, didn't change anything, I assume that lobby options don't affect open tables.
