Re: PokerTracker.com Hacked
Vehn,
I am reasonably certain that your bad run coincides almost exactly with mine. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that I will not start running good again until you do. So please, for my sake, start winning again. Sincerely, Justin A |

September Low Content
This is why I love 15/30 at Canterbury.
6 handed. MP raises, which means nothing. Folded to me in BB. I call with 68spades. Flop 8,7,4. Two clubs. We go five bets. He making the final raise. Turn 2 clubs. Check check. Wtf? River 6 clubs. Check, bet, Call. He turns over K5 off suit, no club. Takes the monies. I am reminded why I went 5 bets on the flop. Wished I had the discipline to fold the river. Didn't really need to pay for the information. |

Re: September Low Content
I've had a really terrible attitude pretty much all the time lately in poker games so I decided to read Barry Greenstein's book and it has really been making me realize how differently I've been acting the last hundred hours or so compared to the way I used to act in a game. If you've read the book I strongly suggest reading it again. If you haven't read it you would be wise to do so. Then you can read it again.

If you can find a guy crazy enough to go 5 bets with a gutshot then you really shouldn't be beating yourself up for calling 1 bet on the river against him no matter what the board is. |

Re: September Low-Content Thread
I disagree about the agreeing to dodge the chop.
If you insist that you dont chop, you will get the best of both worlds if you have the right people to your right and left. If they like to chop, it's because they feel uncomfortable playing in the blinds and/or believe that the rake makes it not worth their while. Which means that the person who takes the initiative and appears to not care will benefit in that the SB will almost never open into you, and the BB will fold way too often to your raises from the SB. The situations of chopping blinds dont come around long enough for the person in the BBB to take notice of your thievery and play back lite. |

Re: September Low-Content Thread
Pretty much the funniest thing I've ever seen/heard happened at the table tonight. I'll try to tone it down to keep it SFW.
Buddy of mine and I are quietly discussing amongst ourselves who has lost the most in the last 12 months in the game we play. This takes into account quality of play and hours logged. We go through the list, and get to one, um, lady, who is, um, not very "lady like". As my buddy says "she licks box". We happen to be good friends with the floorman, who overhears this, then comes over to ask us to repeat it. We do, he laughs. My buddy says "I mean, seriously, she's probably very good at it...probably better than me...and I'm damn good at licking box...floorman, can you spread that around here, there are some ladies who should know that" The floorman then gets on the microphone, and in a slightly (but only SLIGHTLY muffled voice) says "attention holdem players, xxxxx (my buddy's name) in top section holdem would like you to know that he's very good at licking box". Full casino. Friday night. Since I knew what the floorman was saying, it was easy to hear. If you didn't know in advance what he was saying, it may have been a little too muffled to make out. But it was dang funny, regardless. Josh |

Re: September Low-Content Thread
Turned a 12k loss into a 700 dollar loss playing 75 the last 20 hours. I was pretty happy with that, but now I see that I just barely missed signing up for the WCOOP 2-7 donkament that I wanted to play which of course is a beat.
The moment I was most proud of was when Jc2c beat my AA on A6Q rainbow flop having it come club club and he bets the river, I call, another guy calls blind (he played his whole hand blind). Guy turns over 93o for 9 high. People calling down in multiway jammed pots without looking at their cards and I'm still losing. I must play really bad. I was pretty happy that I didn't show my hand, muck face up or make any smartass comments after this hand. Toward the end of the session there were a some hands where I had a winner and the board kept getting retardedly bad and it seemed like I was missing bets but I think they were fine. DD of course destroyed me. He ran me through the rack on 3 hands where I had something huge and he had something bigger and then another one where he completely tricked me into misreading his hand and incinerating money with an extremely rare river 3bet bluff by me. |

Re: September Low-Content Thread
So you turned a 12k loss into practically even and I won 12k, wow everyone else lost a lot of money in that game! Yeah some fun hands we had - I was a set machine today.
