Disappointing to see the last match halved. Davies' chip in put the dagger in the heart of Paula and Morgan, I think. Great match, though.

I can't believe how bad the weather was over there.

Why isn't Michelle Wie on the team?

they may want people who can break par on a regular basis. also, people who are actual members of the LPGA tour.

Brag; Got a ticket for the complete event!
Beat; Only watched the first two holes, then got bored and went home
Variance; Everyone applause when they score a boogey!

Default Chokin Freakin Dogs

I was watching the end of the Solheim Cup this morning (yes, I'll admit it) and the Americans blew a couple of matches that would've given them a comfortable lead. TGC took its time going to commercial and right before the break you could hear Dottie Pepper (an analyst for the SC) say "chokin freakin dogs", obviously in reference to the Americans' finishing performance. As I heard it, all I could say was "Wow". Sounds like it created quite a stir at the matches.

I've heard lots of unintentionally aired comments by analysts/commentators over the years, but this might cause the biggest stir in someone's own sport. The rest of sports won't care, but the LPGA players will.

Only following online, but it seems to me that US ought to have been 3-5 points ahead before the singles. So I guess Dottie is correct. But you really should be treating any mike as a live mike, especially when you are a bit more than just outspoken.

US is ahead but only one game is 2 up and it is still early in the round, and if they still have bad finishing skills they may not end up winning.

First blood Europe 9.5-7.5, but US is too far ahead in too many matches, but a big swing Europes way and it is still possible, but it is needed rather quick to get the spectators and the last matches going Europes way.

Europe have had quite a few chances to put US under pressure but are simply not doing so. Nobody is going to choke unless they are under pressure. Only Becky "Potter" Brewerton is doing so, and of course good-ol' Davies. Even Sörenstam have had too many opportunities to get clear of Pressel but she is simply missing to many shots.
