NL 400 - How to get the most money?
PartyPoker $400 NL Hold'em (3 handed) HandRecorder v0.9b
Preflop: Hero is SB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 1 folds, Hero raises to $14, BB raises to $47, Hero calls $33. Flop: ($94) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, BB bets $70, Hero calls $70. Turn: ($234) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, BB checks. River: ($234) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets $120, BB calls $120. Final Pot: $474. Villain is a regular (21/16/2), stacks around 100BB. How to get the most money of it? Ok, when he got a King it's no problem, but let's assume he got a pair (99+). Donk flop/turn or was it the best way as it was played? |

Re: NL 400 - How to get the most money?
Fold preflop. As played, I like either donking the turn or checking both turn and river. My reasoning for the latter is that I don't think he ever bets the turn here with a PP. If he bets the turn he is bluffing or has a K. If you check the river after turn checks through he will value bet any hand he would call a bet with IMO, and river c/rs are sexy.

Re: NL 400 - How to get the most money?
c/r flop to 170, the duce is a perfect card to check turn w, assuming he checks behing turn shove river. wont always work, but i think cr'ing the flop is the bets place to build the pot, as thats the place he's least likely to fold. this should thoughrly confuse him into a wtf call w 99

Re: NL 400 - How to get the most money?
Just c/r flop to like 150. Put him to a decision. You let him off the hook by allowing him to pull a turn check-behind and control the size of the pot.
As played, you gotta bet more on the river. That river is no place for wimpy bets, bet 200 min. |
