This is fine as a way to randomize your play.. Or if you see them doing FSD raises a lot.
If you are rarely punishing his FSD raises with 3-bet bluffs or river donks, they can correctly get away with them frequeuntly.

However,
In general , I wouldnt suspect a FSD raise here because of the strength hes shown preflop. Therefore his range is highly polarized to strong hands legitatmily raisng this turn.

So except for very rarely, I much prefer a c/c on the river after this action.

You certainly can be good after the river raise by a "spewy" opponent. Hands you beat that are fairly likely to get played this way by an opponent:
QQ, JJ, ATs

Hands I wouldn't be shocked to see:
AKs, AQs, AJs

You may not be a favorite after a river raise, but you certainly should call.

Check-call may be better, but I don't think this is a bad way to play it. Your opponent is spewy. Give him a chance to spew.

Unless you have some laser read on the guy, you can't be good after the river raise. I suppose "spewy" is a reason to call the river raise, but I'm not optimistic. As you mention, if you can't pitch it on the river raise, a c/c is better.

I wouldn't put a ton of emphasis on his pre-flop cap. This is a blind-steal situation after all. He knows you're likely to 3-bet light given his raise came from the button. The cap just means that he probably has a legitimate raising hand. I wouldn't count on it to mean TT+ or anything like that.

It's a kind of interesting play. Donking the river is cheaper than 3-betting the turn when we're behind. But I doubt he fsd raises very often, and when he raises the river we're probably in bad shape but can't fold.

He's most likely "value" betting or will follow through with his (semi)bluffs on the river. I just c/c here and save this line for a laggier opponent.
