have you met in person everyone you stake?

No

do you interview them before staking?

No

do you have any legal recourse if someone was to steal your money?

For the WSOP, we got everyone to sign contracts, for most of my online staking, no.

by any reasonable metric, pearljammer is a successful player. are you inferring that while his style is profitable for him, it is sub - optimal as compared to the standard 2+2 mantra of beingless risk averse early to build a stack ???

Yesterday, some of us were talking about some tournament that David Sklansky won HU, where his opponent would only play 30% of hands in a limit game. This means, if David Sklansky raises every hand, and folds to any action, he can win the bracelet(ie. 70% of the time when he is BB, he will get walked, and 70% of the time he raises in the SB, he will get the pot). Basically, David's opponent was always folding to action because he was a nit, and David was always folding to his opponent was a nit.

Pearl's style seems kind of similar to this in that he 3bet folds like its a job. If you get any sort of decent stack and enough table changes that the 12 tabling pearljammers don't catch on to your constant repopping, winning this tournament could be easier than winning a tournament against 1000 awful players, despite the fact that pearl is a good/very successful player.

If I'm not too busy next week with the house, I'll try writing something up.

could you expand on this a little more ???

Do you ever consider breaking off backing me due to my lack of results?

The deeper you get in makeup, the better the deal becomes for me, since if you get inf. deep in makeup, you never see any of the profit you make, so it is getting constantly beter for me. But yes, every day.

Just a follow-up on your last sentence here. My aim here is to learn, not to embarrass anyone. I realize your response may have been tongue-in-cheek, but having religiously read all of Bond's TR's and just wanting to learn, is there anything, either specific or general, regarding his play, that's making you reconsider staking him? Because I'd assume it's not a results-oriented thing.

I'm not as interesting as many people who have had wells, so I tried including some things that readers would find funny to maintain interest. I haven't even considered cutting him off. I didn't put him in the like 15k A$ tournament with like 20 runners, but even if he like won the ME, I'm not sure I would have.

Meh, actually I probably would, but if he was like up a decent amount, I doubt I would have.

How tall are you?

Do you play any sports?

Could you beat KingDan in chess?

Do you and Choppy (or Watts) ever screw around and coinflip? If so, whats the highest you've gone? Who runs better?

5'11

Do you play any sports?

Used to play volleyball competitively, and lots of squash/badminton in highschool. I kind of lost interest in volleyball, and have mostly just been jogging/occasionally playing racquet sports lately.

Could you beat KingDan in chess?

Maybe ~5% of the time

Do you and Choppy (or Watts) ever screw around and coinflip?

Yes

If so, whats the highest you've gone?

Once I was +20 against ch0ppy, another time, I was even against Watts, and it required me to win 2 10k flips, and lose just about every other one.

Who runs better?

Ch0ppy has won probably close to 70% of our coinflips(he once won 17 straight meals) but I run better when it matters.
