I've been an o8 player mostly but I am going to be playing some live limit so I decided to get some rust off. In an o8 game this is a check fold. so I checked but it didn't feel right.

You dont need the nuts as often to win in hold'em as you do in O8.

But dont get too casual and start calling down too loosely.

You still need to consider that you most likely have the best hand, unless the pot is big enough and then you have to call with a decent hand.

I checked and it checked through. One opponent had QJ and the other 97 - neither had a heart. Like I said the check did not feel right but if I bet I don't think I get a call.

I think the B/F is the best line because the game is not that agro so I don't think a bluff raise is likely.

you might not get a call this time. when this is the case your check won't make you any money anyway unless someone decides to turn a pair into a bluff - most people don't do this.

but they'll call down with red 4s to hit a flush.
