Hero has played his hand really strong. Can't see how this is a bluff or an overplayed straight on a paired/flushed board 22%.

[/ QUOTE ]

I dunno man, I feel like it's tough to put someone on a higher flush or boat here 78% of the time. That's fairly frequent for a small combination of hands that don't really make sense the way villain played his hand out. It's not enough to say "we played our hand really strongly and he still wants to raise;" what is he raising with, then?

[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't be suprised if he shows up with a flush here. Or a flopped set. Maybe Q9, but that's less likely. Ime this is a bluff very rarely given how strong hero has played his hand.

Furthermore, if we're assuming he's rational (which is a big assumption given the holes in his line throughout this hand), why is he check-raising the river with a higher flush on a paired board? I think the frequency of that is fairly small, and thus we have to put him almost exclusively on a full house, which is hard to do 78% of the time.

...and if we don't assume he's rational, then wtf do we care how strong our hand looks if he's not that smart of a player and can def donk off a c/r here with various crap?

Everything before river c:r is standard obviously.
At first I liked your fold, but after thinking about his probable hands, I think he has J8 or a bluff too often to fold. You're probably beat, but you are getting great odds.

QQ completely out of this guys range? I mean it's at least as likely as Q9. Maybe he's a tricksy one

if I'm villain I play any 9 like this cause it looks so much like an overpair

This is really terrible.

Hero also played it like any boat and flush. Tons of combos. AA/KK are 12. Can't see how he's check/raising worse for value.

[/ QUOTE ]

you have to weight his hands - obviously AA/KK show up much more often here than 54s

[/ QUOTE ]
I'd say he'd play any fd like this. You realise how many xxhh he'll openraise on the button? You realise there's only 12 OP-combos? C/r any 9 on the river is sooo bad.

I fold this only to the nittiest or most passive players. With the straight draw also hitting I snap call. KJ with one heart anyone?

Hmm, some in the call camp argue it's a call because check/raising 9x is for value. Some because he can't even c/r the nut flush for value.
