200NL, hand review
Two hands after arriving to the table and no reads on anyone.
Parbet - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players Hero (BTN): $192.00 SB: $78.50 BB: $198.00 UTG: $154.30 MP: $202.00 CO: $320.90 Preflop: Hero is dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players) 4 folds, Hero raises to $8.00, SB folds, BB reraises to $28.00, Hero calls. I put him on 1010-KK, AK. I either smoothcall or rais here 50/50. Should I rerais here more often and maybe make AK, 1010, JJ or QQ lay down their hands? Flop: ($57) J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $44.00, Hero rais to $88.00, BB bets all-in for $82.00, Hero calls. Will I make money in the long run if I play like this? /Zalk |

Re: 200NL, hand review
Since my raise was from the button, I'd generally 4-bet hoping he comes along with something worse.
As played, the flop is disastrous. AK is less likely than usual because you have two Aces, and there's no way he bets anything else that you beat. Just fold it. Edit: eh, maybe it's a very thin shove when you do the math, since you have some outs. Too lazy right now to figure it out. |

Re: 200NL, hand review
4bet preflop if your image is pretty aggr. otherwise i can find myself in to a call also. On the flop you beat only TT (doubt if he bets it since u can easily have a set) so this is a clear fold

Re: 200NL, hand review
W/o reads i'd 4bet pre. He will give you less credit since you you are obv. stealing and you might stack AK/QQ. Pushing the flop is somewhat meh. If his calling range is JJ+, KQ, AK, AT you only have 35% equity. Probably calling and seeing a turn is best. You can still find a fold if he pushes turn because i doubt he fires again on the turn with anything you beat.
