I don't get all of this "Green has no speed" stuff. He's got at least 10 stolen bases this year. Rusty Staub had no speed. Green is fine.

He's not who he once was speed wise. He's nearly 35. He doesn't have any 20 SB seasons left in him.

If there's somebody faster, you should put him in and replace Green with another guy who can play first.

How about Bobby Cox not IWing Green and playing the IF in when all he had to do was go after LoDuca, and Mets fans complain about willy

I'm all for hating Mota, but I thought he got a raw deal today. He had the out twice already (questionable foul ball to DW and dropped foultip K by PLD) before Francoeur went down and hit a tough pitch on the ground between 3b and SS. Anyway, all's well that ends well. For the first time since April, I actually feel somewhat optimistic about this team. Now I just have to root for the Padres to get the wildcard so I can drive down and see some games. (or 1 game completing the sweep as happened last year against LA)

No doubt he got a raw deal today. Real tough spot to have to come into and it was just a good piece of hitting. Tough to really get behind him at this point in the season though...I think I'll just keep holding my breath every time he comes in.
