Re: Early Week 2 NFL Picks
That's a good point - the Vikings run D may factor in less than usual since Martz doesn't run it anyway. That's almost certainly a stay-away game for me.
Cowboys-Fish I guess I'm unintentionally fading the majority (but that's nothing new). |

Re: Early Week 2 NFL Picks
Does anyone NOT like Dallas -3.5 at Miami? Miami only scored 13 points Sunday against Washington, who was ranked 31st defensively last season. Miami has a tough defense, but I think Dallas covers this rather easily, 27-17.

Re: Early Week 2 NFL Picks
I like STL -3. Yes, they have no defense and either does ARI who held SF in check. At home, they will score, and I don't think SF will.
I also like NO -3.5. TB looks really bad. With the Brown QB situation it could be interesting CIN -6.5. Those 3 I like. Dal can turn the ball over and with turnovers MIA can cover. Too much of a crap shoot. |

Re: Early Week 2 NFL Picks
CIN -6.5 (soon to be 7) @ CLE
Cleveland could not stop Pittsburgh and Cincy has a much better offense. I don't think home turf will be enough to overcome ocho cinco. NO -3.5 @ TB Even if you like Garcia, he got lit up last year by New Orleans when he had better receivers and a better line. Also, Cadillac is not 100%. DAL -3.5 @ MIA Miami could not stop the redskins. Nuff said. OAK +9.5 @ DEN This is the shakiest bet I'm taking this week. Oakland is much better than last year and I feel that Denver is slightly weaker. Oakland lost by 10 last year in Denver and the game in Oakland was within 3. Jordan is healthy. Culpepper is not as awful as a lot of people think. I also feel that Denver's offense is lackluster and Oakland's defense is still pretty good despite Kitna lighting up the 2ndary last week. The money line on SD (+170) is not bad, but it's close whether SD wins that 37%+ of the time. Currently 2/3 (+.818 units) on the season. Edit: Cincy has a much better offense, not defense than Pit. |
