Default $10NL AKs in BB vs AI-4bet

Villain is 13/8 over 100 hands
I'm roughly 7/5 at this table so far

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP3 ($10.05)
CO ($2.70)
Button ($9.10)
SB ($6)
Hero ($10.30)
UTG ($20.25)
UTG+1 ($0.50)
MP1 ($9.55)
MP2 ($12.85)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to $0.4</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB calls $0.35, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.85</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to $10.05</font>, SB folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $4.10

What kind of stats should I be looking for to call here? Is this a bad fold, given the read?

Fold. PFR's of 8% don't 4-bet shove without AA/KK

The preflop reraise is good. The fold is good.

I wouldn't call this particular all-in over the top of your reraise unless he's a maniac who does this with almost ATC. And a guy playing 13/8 over 100 hands is not a maniac. If there was a lot more money in the pot relative to the amount you had left in your stack and you think he does this with QQ-AA and maybe AK, then you'd find a call when your EV to call vs that range was positive. But without a read, with a relatively small pot, and with plenty left in your stack, fold is best.

Glad to know I was in the right here. I'd been in a downswing and needed to make sure I wasn't just playing this passively cuz I'd been hit pretty hard recently.

Passive?

Remember, folding _is_ aggressive play.

I think the best you can hope for with a 4bet is a 50/50 situation when they've got QQ/JJ. I think particularly at NL10 (on party anyway) a 4bet always means AA/KK, unless villian is super agro or tilting.

50/50 situations I dont like, I try to look for better situations.

Lock thread please.

(phos, that's not a knock on you, just a joke about the seemingly eternal debate about folding KK preflop).

Serious answer: if he's "usually" doing this with AA/KK, how often does he do it with AK or QQ?

If you're holding AK you're chopping with AK and still behind QQ (though not crushed) so it really doesn't matter, its still a fold.

If you're holding KK he only has to do this with AK or QQ once in a while as you are crushing those hands (and there's only 1 KK combo), so its an easy call.
