Re: Time Travel Game: how would you make money?
[ QUOTE ]
With this being 2+2 I'm surprised nobody has mentioned betting on who will win the WSOP. You'd get massive odds on Moneymaker, Raymer, Hachem, Gold and the new guy. Plus I'm sure you'd get some crazy proposition bets going with bookies. You wouldn't need to really remember the actual scores of sporting events, if you could remember some details. For example, I can't rememebr the exact score of the last World Cup final, but I do know that it was 1-1 before extra time, Zidane scored a penalty, got sent off in extra time and then Italy won on penalties. Or even better, bet on Liverpool to win the Champion's League Final in 2005. Put the bet on at half time when they're losing 3-0. I heard (urban myth) someone did that and got odds of 300-1 or something silly, although they only put like £10-20 on it. [/ QUOTE ] uh, it's 1992....u only have one year. |

Hell, knowing me, I'd still probably bet with my heart rather than my head.
Just send me back with the five hundred bucks. I'll get a job and enjoy the time I have--but I might pass along a few tips to others. |

[ QUOTE ] ez Both Markey and sports betting, you get to bet every football game for the season, winner of the world series , super bowl just Parlay every week. By mid season you should have enough credit to bet more then you have and DING [/ QUOTE ] you can remember the results of every NFL game in 1992? Wow. [/ QUOTE ] I can recall who at least played and won he playoff games and super bowl and while i might not bet every game I can recall enough about most that it would work it self out |

Wow Transference wins in my book
Awesome idea dude. You're not using the knowledge you had of just 1992... but knowledge of everything that happened between then and now. So all you have to do is convince a few millionairres that you're legit then sell them info that may not apply to '92 but would certainly apply in future years. |

[ QUOTE ] I'd become a beat maker. I don't know how well "our" music would appeal to the early 90s but with material ranging from Britney Spears to Linkin Park to Pharrell, I'm sure I could produce something successful. Could do this in well under a year. [/ QUOTE ] How? The technology in 1992 would not allow this...plus, what makes you think music today would be popular during the "grunge" period of popular music? [/ QUOTE ] Ok step by step process Step 1. Get an internship at movie production company Step 2. Bet the big moneyline upsets...finding a bookie isn't hard. Step 3. Pitch your awesome original movie/tv ideas while at work. Step 4. You've now been hired as a movie executive. Keep betting the moneylines etc. Make tons of $$ of your movie ideas. Step 5. Bang supermodels. Step 6. Your a multi millionaire...and its only been 4-6 months |

Just because they've since been made into movies? |
