Re: Your most memorable Birthday
well, it was, to them. But I give them alot of credit for fulfilling both promises/ obligations. I guess they learned the hard way that you don't give a 5 yr. old a choice like that, lol.

Re: Your most memorable Birthday
I don't think I've ever done anything interesting for my birthday. I stopped having parties when I was 11 and after that it was mostly cake with my family.

[/ QUOTE ] i must be confused. i thought they told you you could pick anywhere but they were actually just going to take you to tennesse anyway. if the tennessee trip was in addition to wherever you chose then kudos to them. |

Re: Your most memorable Birthday
This thread sucks so far...
My wife arranged a surprise 40th bday party for me a month early and totally pwned me. Had about 100 people who managed to keep it secret, several of which came from some distance. |

Re: Your most memorable Birthday
On my 11th or 12th birthday, I had dinner and a slumber party planned with my three good friends. We (me, my friends, and my parents) came home from dinner to find my 70ish y.o. grandma sitting on the couch in FOOTIE pajamas. She acted a little looney and said "I'm here for your party!"
I didn't really give it much thought, until the doorbell started ringing and about 10-12 of my aunts/uncles/cousins all file in wearing their pj's. One of my male cousins, who was in his 20's at the time, had oreos mashed up and somehow stuck to his face, and he was acting like he was 5. I remember being very gracious to everyone, and we all enjoyed cake and ice cream and some laughs, but I was MORTIFIED (especially at the self conscious stage of my life that I was in). And I'll never forget the looks on my friends faces. Crazy stuff. |
