No, I meant I'm a whiny emo guy inside who lets a lot of [censored] bother me that shouldn't.
I'm not some indie band T-shirt under tweed jacket horn rimmed classes emo queer. I like to think of myself as reasonably normal and while you'd be surprised by the lesbianism and hurt by the concealing, I don't think you'd be as betrayed as if it was with a dude. I don't think it would be a relationship destroyer for most men. |

does the fact that oyu're not bothered by your gf having a relationship show:
a) suppressed anti-homosexual thoughts (ie you don't believe that homosexuals are capable of the same type of relationship/they can't fall in love) b) that monogamy is overrated c) that it's evolution. another guy can get your wife pregnant making her less likely to care for your child/pass on your genes. another woman could help care for your child and make it more likely to survive. |

Lesbians are a male fantasy, your wife getting plowed by another guy is not. It's pretty simple why one bothers us more than the other.

the idea sounds hot but ..
i do have two friends who's mothers ended up becoming lesbians and leaving their husbands for a woman. So that would probably be in the back of my mind and bother me |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with c, as you said in the second post in this thread. As for a, my initial instinct was that it was sexist rather than homophobic. I suppose it's hard for me to sympathise with being in a lesbian relationship and finding your girl in bed with a man. |

[/ QUOTE ] yeah explicitly didn't use the word homophobia. i'm not sure if there's a word for what i mean there. i guess... dehumanizing homosexuals? seeing there relationships as "less" than those of hetereosexuals and thus not having them bother you as much? not really sure, just think aloud here. but i'd be pissed if i found out my girl had a deep emotional "love type" relationship with another guy OR girl. on the other hand sexual monogamy is not as important to me as most people. |

I dated a bi chick for like a while. You'd think it'd be sweet, but it's not. I went to a club w/ her on some gay night, and I came real close to socking a couple lesbians. Random chick, I'd love it. Any semi-serious girl, and I'd just flip my [censored].
