Re: The money or the title?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Money all day long. Bracelet don't mean [censored]. I'd rather be the richest poker player than the most bracelet winner anytime of the day. [/ QUOTE ] Winning bracelets opens the doors for lucrative endorsement deals. I figure that if you win like 25 bracelets, you could pick up a like a 200k/yr deal. So, it sort of goes hand in hand if you think about it. [/ QUOTE ] 25 bracelets and a 200k/yr deal? lol ya right a crazy high amount like 200k. more like 50k dude. [/ QUOTE ] PH said that he get like 10 mil coming in after won the bracelet #11. |

Re: The money or the title?
Only bracelet I'd really care about is the ME bracelet. It's all about the money otherwise.

Re: The money or the title?
nowadays the WSOP ME is basically like the academy awards... when it rolls around it's fun to pretend like it actually means something, we all watch the coverage hoping someone really good will win to validate our enthusiasm, and then some terrible entrant wins and we remember that it doesn't really mean anything, and we just wind up with one new b grade poker celebrity to make fun of.
i'll take the cash, thanks. |

Re: The money or the title?
I really wish Prahlad had won in 2006, he stated that if he had won he would do no interviews and just dissapear from the mainstream spotlight.
But back to the question the money by a very very long way. |

Re: The money or the title?
[ QUOTE ]
I was talking to a complete stranger and I noticed he was wearing a gold bracelet. I asked him about it and it was a WSOP bracelet he won in 1985. I gotta say I was very impressed, I was asking him all kinds of questions about how he won it. Turns out Doyle Brunson was at his final table. Having a bracelet really is a big deal, you will have it for the rest of your life and people will respect you for it. Hell I was so impressed with the fact he had a WSOP bracelet that I gave him a few extra bucks for shining my shoes. [/ QUOTE ] This needs more love ... |
