My questions concern how many calories I need to lose weight. My BMR is 2000cal/day. Thats to maintain my current body weight. So basically as long as I am under my BMR, I will be losing weight? What should I be shooting for in order to reach my goal of losing about 15-20 lbs by December?

Due to your high-activity lifestyle, it might take a little bit to figure out how many calories you should be eating per day. Pick a starting point like 2500 or something and stick with it for a week then check on your weight. For the next week, adjust the calories by 200 or so and see what difference that made.

dethgrind and kinda are v v right. There is a huge amount of X factor for caloric intake. It provides a nice baseline but needs to be adjusted.
