One interesting thing no one seems to have considered is that both opps might have 2-7. After all, there's an extra 300 in it for them.

Flop is an easy bet in general without some specific reads. As played this is a ridic easy fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why is it ridic easy? This is a serious question.

A lot of the time one opp has a boat, but why can't button have a draw and bb have JT, QT, or AT or both have trip tens. In both cases I am a decent amount ahead. So it comes down to whether or not a huge percentage of the time one has a full house. I am serious when I ask whether or not that is so obvious. Would it be shocking if neither had a boat?

[/ QUOTE ]

I know live players are all about making the correct decision in every "actual" situation neglegting hand ranges and possible holdings and focusing on figuring out peoples hands correctly but consider this:

best case scenario: Other opponent has draws, other has trips. They have about 1024 outs vs our straight (17-19?) which counts up to around 40% which means even if we are right we still lose 40% of the time.

ok scenario: Just one of them has a full house. Our equity? 0%.

worst case scenario: Both of them have full houses. Our equity? 0%.

Add them up, figuring the middle scenario occurs most often and two other scenarios occur equally often and you might see how folding is allright. You would have to absolutely certain that your read is spot on before you could call.

I fail to see how our "ok" scenario is any different than our "worst case" scenario. WTF??? "Thank goodness only one of them had a full house...i would have really been f***ed if both of them had a boat!"

This way we only have one person to rob after the game. It's called math.
