Well tell him it's crap because even though he DID hit a big hand he still played it awfully.

Post-flop action just seems back to front. Flop should never be bet out, and ESPECIALLY not called once raised with bottom pair no kicker. And turn and river should never be checked, and ESPECIALLY not just called once he faces a bet, with trip two's and no draw having reached at any stage! Where's the value? Bet turn. If not bet river. If not PLEASE raise river.

Well, it's 32o and it's garbage and you will hit a big hand with it very rarely. And even when you do, for instance hit something like two pairs or trips, you can easily get outdrawn or outkicked.

Oh, and of course you have no flush possibilties and very few straight possibilties really, and then it's likely to be the ass-end of a straight. Etc....

Basically, the odds of hitting a big hand aren't big enough to justify in limping with this hand. With another limp or two before, and maybe if it was suited or something, fine. It's just basically a hand with very few possibilities of making a big hand and not worth playing.

Plus of course I hope he understands the value of position, and how crap it is being OOP?

QFT. Plus even when you hit a big hand your opponent will have to have hit a big second best hand for you to get a lot of money.

And his post-flop play is terrible. Why lead half pot on flop with bottom pair bottom kicker? Why call a raise (even a small one) with bottom pair bottom kicker. You have 5 outs at best and if that's how he's gonna play the turn and river when he makes one of his 5 outs then the call on the flop is even worse, although it's really bad anyway.

Then he hits his probable 5 outer and check calls two streets? Raise, bet, comeon.
