Cops probably think they did it on purpose so they feel justified in putting them in jail for a night or whatever since the charges probably won't stick.

the video of that guy and his daughter is borderline. I believe that was a terry stop at that point, and I don't like how the man was handling things. However, the cop should've just begun his investigation and made it more clear what was going on and why before he arrested him, instead of saying "i'm investigating, let me see ID" then shutting down.

the cops did everything wrong with the daughter though. they had no reason to do any of that and I would hope they would be disciplined for it.

Wow, it's unbelievable that would be allowed. I can understand one [censored] cop, but a night in jail? Nobody in the chain of command was like "Hey, that's terrible!"

The police have a right to ask you for ID in an investigation.

I hear they can arrest you for not complying with an investigation as well.

Freaky.

The guy might be a douche, but I hope he gets a nice small picture on the wall of the underground resistance when the mandatory government RFID tagging program gets implemented.

I'm not going to read all this other stuff but I am a loss prevention investigator and you can't detain people for [censored] like that. You have to have the "5 elements of proof" before you can stop someone.

fk me I hate these bleeding heart liberal tools. Please just make life easier on everyone and comply to this sh*t, it really isn't important!

Cue 'but where does this lead!?!!' responses.

I honestly feel that people who say/believe this should not be allowed to live in America.

No, but I can see how what I wrote is ambiguous. I wouldn't force them to leave, I just feel they don't deserve it.
