Default 3/6 Overpair OOP vs. TAG

Villain is a TAG regular but I haven't played with him at all. I have him at 18/16 over a couple hundred datamined hands. He joined the table a few orbits ago and this is the first hand we've played together.

I think preflop can go either way, feel free to argue if you think 3 betting is a lot better. Flop plan?

No-Limit Hold'em, $6 BB (5 handed)

Button ($956.50)
Hero ($1218.75)
BB ($307.90)
UTG ($611.10)
MP ($626.40)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $21</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls $18, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($48) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero?

Alright I decided to c/c, villain bet $38. Pot is $120ish.

Turn was the 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero?

really would have rather c/r'd the flop since your hand is so underrepped he could have put you on a draw or something.

on the turn i c/c again now.

Yeah in hindsight c/r flop looks a lot better. I guess I really [censored] this one up because I decided to lead turn, he insta raised and I folded

Lead the flop, he will have to put you on a wide range and how he responds will help narrow his range. If he's aggressive then it's an easy 3 bet all-in if he raises, or you can lead any turn if he flat calls.

You miss out on picking up a cont bet, but you are avoiding tough decisions for bigger bets down the line - assuming he's good.

Yea you should be c/ring this flop everytime if you're going to flat preflop here planning on getting it in. As played, I like c/c turn and most rivers.

I don't like the lead without some meta game stuff going on. C/r seems more fishy and better.
