Generally this may be true, however given the specific circumstances I don't think this holds water. If I'm dealing with two single girls, particularily over a longer period of time, this theory is usually true. However when dealing with a girl with a boyfriend when I only have a very finite period of time to work with I think a full on attack is the only way of achieving success. If the 10 is going out with the purpose of getting laid, she may well be intrigued by the guy who isn't really paying attention to her and seems to be focused on her less hot friend. However when said dime has a boyfriend and is not "on the warpath" more subtle tactics simply aren't going to work.

Also, as I said she was part Indian and affiliated with some S. Asian wing of a political think-tank or something like that. I was getting her excited with my sharp analyses of Pakistani politics. I made a game time decision that the only way I was going to get this girl to cheat on her boyfriend and sleep with me was to common interest the sh#t out of her. It was a long shot, and failed.

Last night however I did at least make out with a 5 at the bar who would have been hotter but for the some of the worst teeth I've ever seen.
