It also seems customary not to tip if you take down the pot with a c-bet on the flop. At least that seems like protocol at Foxwoods.

Orange 50 cent piece chips at Canterbury Park work great for small pots and sodas/water from the waitress

I tip $1 each time I win a pot, regardless of the size. (if its Huge, maybe $2.

I give the cage a $1 everytime I cash out.

I give the board a $1 everytime I win.

I give the floors a dollar or two if the bring me a comp slip.

I also tip the floor a dollar if they bring me chips for the 'aces never lose' promotion.

do most people that play live low limit for a living tip the dealer?

$1 per pot unless you steal the blinds.

Stealing blinds at low limit live? What's that?

But I agree, $1 a pot is fine. Many loose player (and dealers who play) will tip up to $5, which I think is spewing chips.

The ElDorado in Reno uses quarters. I like it; it minimizes the rake and you can tip with them or use them for blinds.
