OP, Forum sounds like a good idea! You should send a PM to Ryan Beal. [/ QUOTE ] And to that tuq fellow. I hear he's a real up-and-comer who's looking for more forums to mod. |

OP, Forum sounds like a good idea! You should send a PM to Ryan Beal. [/ QUOTE ] tug, I think you should organize your own little PM poster army and have a weekly PM campaign to Ryan. Like maybe 300-400 posters. You just start a thread here and tell them what to say and clickety-click-click Ryan's PM box will be bulging with messages from the tug gang. I'm sure he would look forward to it each week. |

Bobo, I dunno mang, I was averaging one forum/week but that's like slowing to a crawl for some reason. I should PM Ryan Beal about it.

Tuq,
Maybe if you get a big PM spam campaign going he'll just give you forum creation abilities to get you off his back. |

Re: live poker strategy forum
[ QUOTE ]
whats the main difference in strategy live or online? [/ QUOTE ] I don't think the most significant difference between live and online is strategy. Yes, Iron81 is dead on right in his explanation of the differences in strategy but I don't think strategy is the primary difference. I think the pyschological side, not tilting over the mindless suckouts or watching some complete donkey catch miracle card after miracle and your premium hands and draws get killed hand after hand after hand, is the most difficult adjustment. Online, the stakes compared to the quality of players is lower, so you have better players at $1-2 online than probably as high as $5-10 live (depending upon what the lowest limits are at your casino) so if someone sucks out on you online, it is for less money and the hands come at you so much faster that the donkey is going broke soon anyway so you just hope you get your share before it happens. Playing live there are more donkeys and because the hands are much slower, their miracle runs can seem to last forever and you have to guard against your play deteriorating because of tilt. I think in live play at low limits once you learn the basics, the main difference is keeping your head on straight and playing good poker, It is much more difficult than it sounds. * Edit/MH: Corrected a minor clerical error for poster. |
