MoneyGram is just like Western Union. There is nothing to be concerned about. Biggest issue I'd have is the fees. For large deposits they are insignificant but for small deposits they are pretty high and I don't know if Stars refunds them.

Depends on what people think are big/small.
When they were doing double fpps with the extra deposit bonus I loaded 600 with moneygram for a flat $9.95 fee which is much better than WU would have ever done. 1.5 is both a tiny percentage and a small actual fee to me at that point.

If someone is habitually doing $50 deposits then neither moneygram or WU is likely the best option.

If stars still takes money orders it's likely one of the best small deposit options available to the casual user- it just takes a week + to get there and be credited.

And now we see how the games were affected a year ago...

See the e-check thread in this forum. Stars got a new processor, I used it to deposit, but it's been over a week and the transaction hasn't hit my bank account yet.

Does the online money gram work? (emoneygram or some such thing?) Or do I need to take cash to their nearest location (here in the U.S.)

Giving up on epassporte.

Yes, it works. You need to make the transaction in person (nothing over the internet).
