Default 33$: AJ after raise on the bubble?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (4 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

SB (t3960)
Hero (t8040)
UTG (t3800)
Button (t4200)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

villain seems to be solid yet aggressive. I RRed from the BB a couple of times and always made villain lay the hand down. what is your play here?

I'd definitely push since I'd call a push from him barring some incredible read. And here, you might even get a fold from him. Not likely, but you never know.

The only worry is if he's trapping with a monster, but I'd expect something less than a 4x raise with a true monster.

I don't see how this can be a fold unless 9 man ICM is way different than the 6 man ICM I know

easy shove. he folds a lot, when he calls we have the best hand etc. gap concept.

We also have 4k left if he calls and we lose.

okay, yeah just checking whether my play was correct. I shoved and he held AQ. I just did not play too good yesterday so I wondered whether shoving here is correct but I believe it is. Thanks for same opinions guys.

I lay down AJ on the bubble whenever faced with a raise. Especially since you are on the bubble, and very few people will play hands that aren't AQ, AK, TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA against you. At best you are faced with an under pair, in which you technically are still a minor dog.
