10NL is this spew?
Pretty sure I should have just called the flop bet.

I like the raise. What can he have that beats your hand.AA,KK,QQ and that s about it. The board is uncoordinated and you best taking it down now before a king hits.

Re: 10NL is this spew?
lead out and reassess on CO's action is another option
why are you raising here? for value, protection , information??? im asking as a question not being sarcastic the way i see it if your in front you are pushing worse hands than TPTK out and if your behind you are crushed so raising here achieves little but i could be looking at it wrong. if the board was drawy i would raise for protection but as it is so dry i would probably call behind |

Re: 10NL is this spew?
If you are doing this to get value from him, I think C/C is better for getting more in on the turn. He will more than likely bet out on the turn to keep the initiative at which point you can shove. It all revolves around how often he cbets though.

I just like to bet out myself. No one respects the donkbet. But this is fine too.

Re: 10NL is this spew?
Not spew at all. I'd bet out a good amount of the time but if CO is type of player to cbet a lot this is good as well. Call push, push turn, etc. NH. You could even just call if he's really aggro. Really nothing is a big mistake, depending on opponent.

I dunno if I'd call a push this deep with TPTK in a re-raised pot unless this guy was real bad.

Re: 10NL is this spew?
I would lead out on the turn with say $2.00.
This allows you to get more info. And you can also win if he folds. And if reraises, you can either shove or fold based on your read. The way I see it, you put yourself in a bad spot. You reraised out of position on the flop. What if he goes all-in? What if just calls? Then you're out of position on the turn. Did you really think about why you were checkraising or was it an ego push? Had the villain reraised you preflop before? |
