AK is better. Even on missed flops, with any overcards on the board over 7, villain with AK can most likely push 77 of the hand. harder to do with 77 after an A or K or draw has hit. [/ QUOTE ] True, but how big a pot will you win, when 77 improves to a set you'll win a much bigger pot usually. i would go for the 77 according to my stats i've won double the $ with 77 when you consider the nr of times you get dealt two random cards over PP's.

Beat: I'm responding to this thread.
Brag: When reading this question, I have actually thought of at least 5 situations where I would rather have 77 over AK and 5 other situations where I would rather have AK over 77 (and am sure that many other posters have done the same).
