change table
in our casino we have two tables nl 1/2$ with 200$ max buy-in.
players are shifting from one table to another with more chips or less then buy-in. So we have a situation when chip-leader from one table sit to another table. Is there any rule abouth shifting players from table to table? must they buy-in normal buy-in(in these situacion 200$ and less) or they can move from one table to another with all chips? |

Re: change table
Really? I've requested a move with more than the max buy-in in front of me (it was about 30% more than the max ($500)) ... and been able to move the entire buy-in to the other table (Alberta, Canada). As far they were concerned, the tables are effectively in the same game.

Re: change table
Normally in most casinos you have to move your entire stack to the new game you are entering. This avoids people from turning there 300 buy into 1000 on 1 game and then staying on the same type game but moving to a different table and starting there buy in all over again. Then they request to get back on there original game and effectively have taken 700 off there game. I heard some places may allow this which should let you know the kind of staff you would be dealing with.

Players coming from a broken game must take their whole stack, players coming from a must move game have to take their whole stack, a table change is "up to max buy in only" in some places. Other places its the entire stack. This normally and usually stuff doesn't work when it's room dependant. So just ask the room you're playing in what the rule is. That's the best way to find out. Rooms are allowed to set their own rules regarding this stuff. |

Re: change table
almost all casinos will make you take your stack with you if u request a table chang. If u wanna take chips off th table the only way to do that is get up and put ur name back on the list. If there is no list "MOST" casinos will make u wait a half hour or hour untill u can sick back down. This is how ALL the new jersey poker clubs i play work, and most casinos.
