Default 2/4 6max, AK should i go for the flip(s)?

I been folding AK(and AQ) preflop to x3 reraises. I just dont like calling OOP or even in posi for that matter. I push if my allin 4bet is x6 or less, but i dont know what to do when its deeper than 100BB.

heres an example

2/4 6max(5 handed)
villian is 26/21 after 1300 hands

$706.50 in chips and i cover

hero [Ks Ac]
hero - Raises to $16
CO Folds
villian - Raises to $50
blinds Fold
hero ?

...Raises to $196
villian to $704 (allin)
hero?

call when 50 chips. When five bet shoves 200bb deep, you're not good.

Really dependent upon the person who's 3 betting you as to what you should do, esp if you get into a lot of preflop wars.

This deep I call almost regardless though.

I think I like calling instead of 4-betting with these stacks. At least a good percentage of the time.

Maulik,

He was asking the more general question of what to do with AKo when he's reraised preflop, saying he's been folding to preflop reraises with it.

I was just noting that how you should respond to a reraise is heavily dependent upon the opponent you're facing, as well as a lot of other factors, but didn't really go into it.

In the example he gave, I think it's usually a call regardless of the other factors.

i usually dont like 4bettin pf with ak this deep... but if a someone is 3bettin light ill def 4bet it.

in ur example ill fold quickly if i dont have a good read.

I really dont like ur 4bet preflop.. As for you calling his push, no way.. You will never get a push from AK/QQ or worse.. Ur in deep trouble, easy fold.

you mean calling the initial 3-bet, right? that's what i would do. definitely fold to the 5-bet without a decent read he'd do this with AK every time.
