my sister married a guy named mark. mark is my brothers name. my brother married a girl named meg (short for margaret). my moms name is margaret. i think i win the thread.

Yep . . . and it is a little strange to think "I have sex with Lisa Mylastname".

Interestingly, when I'm telling stories about my sister or my wife, I often think "Lisa" in my head while translating "my wife" or "my sister" as appropriate. On occassion, I've messed up the translation and led to such charming anecodtes as:

"So I was on a date with my sister the other night . . ."

To further confuse things, my younger sister is now dating someone with my first name. Gah.

I have a huge crush on an actress with my sister's name so I'm guessing yes...not sure about the mom part that might be somewhat weird.

I've never done it, but I would think the mom's name wouldn't be that awkward, since most people don't call their mom by her first name anyway...

Marrying a girl named "mom" might be a little strange, though.
