Fair enough...

I think the big ??? for this hand is due to being a little results oriented.

I folded, but the turn was my gin card...7. UTG+1 bets out $320 and MP raised to $800 and I threw up a little.

UTG+1 called and the river was a 2. It went check/check and UTG+1 showed QQ and it was good. MP didn't show.

So, in the end, I think that folding was the right play, but at the time, really wasn't sure, but I think it was due to the 7 hitting on the turn and all the action that followed.

Thanks fellas.

One of my favorite moves in live 5/10 NL is to develop a very tight solid image and then check raise a bettor and a caller out of the blinds with nothing. As long as they are the right types of players, they will put you on at least two pair and fold. And usually the bet sizes are such that I am basically risking 3 to win 2, which is nice.

But it doesn't seem like this flop is the greatest for that move. If I was going to check raise this flop, I'd like to have a good enough read and a big enough stack to fire the turn and then all-in the river if called. Something like 500 on flop, 1000 on turn, 2500 on river. But to do this I would need to know that these guys are the types that never get that much money in without a huge hand and are proud of it. Probably need to play with them a few sessions to get this good of a read.
