-----------------------------

Now let me tell you what annoyed me about this hand. He took forever to call my all in. And before he called said "you probably got me beat". At which point I thought he must have a straight or a low flush.

Now I really need your opinions on this one. If the board didn't have that straight draw I would have just called his river raise rather than re-raise all in (since villains probably calling range which beat is decreased). Correct? Secondly, given the board how it is above was I right to push all in? I was thinking if he had the straight he would find it difficult to fold (can't remember stats much but VPIP was 25 ish so I figured maybe he was a station) and only the ace high flush beats me (excluding the straight flush but I just rule that out when I am in these situations... 40K+ hands and it hasn't happened against me yet).

And generally, king high flushes, what do you guys think about them?

Cheers.

I'm not slowing down with a K high flush unless it's 4 to a flush. Especially not on the river when you've invested a good amount.

At a NL25 table, against standard opponents, you get paid by villian atleast twice for every time you get shown his top flush or str8 flush. Definitely reraise allin.

btw, I like your thinking on the str8s.

ship it in. Your hand is concealed as alot of hands got there and your flush is concealed to where if he has any lower flush hes probly paying you off. If you lost chalk it to a cooler.

Thanks for replying everyone.

He had the ace high flush. I said "wtf" and he said "i was convinced you had the straight flush" I replied "of course" and logged off. Kinda funny now I look back at it lol.

You all seem pretty keen with king high flushes. What is the general rule of thumb with them? If the board has obvious straight draws then always try to get as much in as possible? If the board is dry and I am facing an all in out of pretty much nowhere on the river should I call with my king high flush?

My king high flush got beaten by an ace high flush twice today, so any comments to my questions would be really appreciated as I want to make sure I have this right and am not making long run -EV calls. Cheers.

Why the preflop limp? Did you have earlier reads on opponents/table playing flat? If I'm coming into the hand 1st in, MP, I'm thinking a raise is in order.
