flopped a set. help!
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1448780
bad laydown? the reraise preflop just screams aces or kings to me or maybe ak post flop i really can't see him stacking off with top two pair seeing as how villian is pretty tight either way it's a really tough spot |

Re: flopped a set. help!
Oh no you didnt?!
omg, this was a bad laydown, imo. preflop was meh i'd never fold here dont try to make big laydowns you arent playing high stakes poker, where you have to make laydowns like this occasionly. you play NL25 where opponents suck most of the time... |

Re: flopped a set. help!
even if u only put him on kk+/ak(and he plays these hands like this like 100%) you have 50% equity and there is dead money already.
Bad fold. Board: As Kd Qc Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 48.785% 47.98% 00.80% 21375 358.50 { KK+, AKs, AKo } Hand 1: 51.215% 50.41% 00.80% 22458 358.50 { QQ } |

Re: flopped a set. help!
As played preflop there is no way you can get away from this. If you 4 bet preflop you can fold to a 5bet or you could get away from this postflop but only if you raise him on the flop more than a minraise. Even as played you definitely should raise more than minraise. I really hate this minraise business because villain almost has to call unless he's dominated and you just can't be sure enough to fold to a raise in a spot like this. Though, even if you made it a bigger raise on the flop I still don't think you can get away because of how this played preflop.
