25nl Kings
Just started playing cash, this is about about 10 hands in so no reads:
Both $25 stacks Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with kh kd UTG calls, Hero raises to $1.25, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, 2 folds. Flop: 4h 7s 8d ($4.25, 3 players) SB checks, Hero bets $2, Button raises to $6, SB folds, Hero calls. Turn: 2d ($16.25, 2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $10. Easy shove/fold? Should I lead turn and call a shove or just shove flop? Also should I bet more on the flop?! |

Re: 25nl Kings
Bet more on flop, at least 3.25. Also show stack sizes in your posts in the future if possible.
Without reads and given the suboptimal flop bet it's really hard to say what to do here. Against a good tight player I would usually fold here though. Even with the weak flop bet, after you call the flop I think he is checking behind with semibluff hands like 9T, and with 99 or TT too most likely. I think if you're ahead and he's betting for value it's probably JJ or QQ fwiw, but there are more combos of sets, two pair and 56 than those hands and he will often check behind the river with the former but never with the latter, so reverse implied odds are against you. *Edit* Had a brainfart, if you are going to continue with this you need to just shove the turn here so reverse implied odds wouldn't come into play in quite the way I said. |
