Default How quick do your hands have to be to pull something off like this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0G9yENOSOQ

Very well known magician shows his dexerity. what's the likely chance that it's a trick cigarete? I know some instances it's obvious he has it behind his finger but at other times it's like wtf?

ummm. he's very smooth, it's very visually appealling, but their's always an obvious hiding spot. I'm not saying it's easy, but there's nothing astonishing about this. It looks very cool though.

Agreed. Smooth but quite clear what's going on. And I really enjoy both close magic and stage illusions (even if I know what's going on - the timing and staging impress me).

Take a look at Lance Burton with candles. It's pretty much the act that won him the Grand Prix at the 1982 Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques competition (he was 22 and the first American to win).

It's a real cigarette. He is really good though, very smooth.

This is more on the "funny" side, but requires alot of skill also.

It never actually leaves the hand that he is putting the cig into the other one with, he lowers it after every "transfer" so your mind assumes that it is in the hand, and is trikced whne its not, othertimes, ya, its behind his finger. pretty cool though.

How could you possibly practice this enough to be that good? Amazing though.
