Should I have called the floor?
Playing in Daytona Beach Kennel Club at 1/2 NLHE $100 max.
Seat 3 comes in with 100 and complians that there are no seats on the 2/5 NLHE and will play here until one opens. Seat 5 just caught a 1 outer to build stack to 300+ Hero is on 2nd bullet Seat 3 UTG raises to 10 Seat 5 calls Hero Button calls (KJsuited red) Flop J 10 8 - 2 spades Seat 3 bets 10 Seat 5 calls Hero pushes for T76 Seat 3 insta calls (K8spades) Seat 5 ponders Seat 3 starts encouraging seat 5 to call "you got pot odds....I am pushing the turn" etc. I object to Dealer. Dealer does what he can to stop the Seat 5 donk but he continues to talk. Seat 5 calls (AQo) Turn brings the Ace Long story short the fish in seat 5 wins all and I storm out! Should I have had the Dealer call the floor? If so, what if anything could/should have happened? This happens a LOT at this venue and I am sure it will happen again to me. I'm just looking for advice for when it does happen again! Thanks all! |

Re: Should I have called the floor?
You can talk to the floor but I doubt they will do anything. He may get a verbal warning and a slap on the wrist.

My god that hand is a train wreck.
Yes, call the floor. Seat 3's actions are gross. I doubt the floor will do much, though, to be honest. |

Re: Should I have called the floor?
Floor will do little, and guy with AQo was likely calling no matter what. Off topic but as it is, shoving in this spot isn't great.

Re: Should I have called the floor?
Floorpersons typically won't give more than a verbal warning unless the offense is repeated 2-3X or if it's especially egregious (violence, really bad language, etc.). I'd like to say this situation is unique to small stakes, but it happens up & down the limits.

You don't need to hold up the game, just at your convenience walk over to the floor identify the player and the problem.here is a reason for this. If this player isa regular there may have been similar complaints or there may be similar complaints in the future. By letting the floor know about the problem you give them them the chance to handle a repeat offender. No the floor isn't going to give you money or overturn the hand. But if there are enough complaints the floor may tell this player that if he gets another complaint about him he will not be allowed to play anymore. |

you were going to get called anyway
Good advice .... walk over and talk to the floor aside.... why not ? It is his job.
However, you were not really injured, unless you really think that Seat 5 would have folded. Remember, Seat 5 played for a 1 outer and was "rewarded", building his stack to $300+. He now is looking at "Any A or Q as a winner" in his view. That was 6x better than he just won with, and he is on a streak. Think he was NOT calling anyway ? |

He probably ran into a set over set situation in which he thought he was a complete favorite. Use your head a little donktard |
