NL50 - Set of Tens on scary board
Not many hands of Villain, but he seemed very solid.

Re: NL50 - Set of Tens on scary board
Bet more on flop, lead turn, push river - he doesn't have a flush here as often as he has an overpair (more combinations of QQ then AcKc/AcQc

Re: NL50 - Set of Tens on scary board
I also don't like the cbet preflop, bloats the pot with what is usually going to be a middlepair hand, and when it is an overpair it will almost never win a big pot, but could lose one.

I lead the turn again, as played I CRAI. 14 into 32 seems weak.

Re: NL50 - Set of Tens on scary board
call here, you got 10 outs if he got the flush.
if you dont fill up on the river, i'd call depending on the card. if the river is a low non-club, i'd call 2/3pot bet. |

Re: NL50 - Set of Tens on scary board
First 3-bet at this table.
haven't played many hands. He seemed very solid... So flop 11-ish? After he cold called my bet PF and on the Flop I was really worried about AKs |

If you are saying you don't like 3bet preflop, this is just wrong. The read on villain is that he seems "solid" - I would 3bet & cbet 22 in this spot, much less TT. Preflop 3bet is a must. |

Re: NL50 - Set of Tens on scary board
Flop depends on what you have seen him do with flushdraws - I would bet either 14 or 20, depending on whther he'll call overbets with draws.

Re: NL50 - Set of Tens on scary board
Bet a little bit more on the flop.
Bet turn for value and protection. As played, just shove. Villain will be getting 2.3:1 and if he has a flush we have 10 outs. |

Re: NL50 - Set of Tens on scary board
I agree with the PF re-raise. A BTN's raising range is usually very wide, so re-raising with 1010 is a must. When he calls his range tightens considerably though.
Great flop for you, but I think your bet too small. I'd bet 12 there probably. I'd probably lead out on the turn too with about 2/3 of the pot. The club sucks, but this hand is very hard to get away from. You're still ahead of QQ,AJ,KQ and other more unlikely holdings like KJ,A10 and you got 10 outs if he has the flush. You're not getting away from this at NL50 unless you got an extremly good read on your opponent. BTW, as played I'd push the turn. |
