Vegas for a month...where do I stay?
I am planning to head out and stay Oct 3-31. I don't have tons of money and would like to keep this trip somewhat reasonable $$ wise. If all else fails I could stay with a friend but he has two other roomates who I would prefer not to be around for a month straight. I have searched the web for extended hotel type places and came up with:
Budget suites of america-$1000/wk Manor suites-$1150 Extended stay-ranging from $1300-$1800 depending on location. Crestwood suites-$2400 I need a clean place but it doesn't have to be the most glamorous either. Any suggestions from locals or anyone else who knows the scoop here would be very much appreciated. I need to book this soon so I have to figure this out asap. |

Do you have a car? If not your options are a lot more limited.

I forgot to add that safety is my other main concern. I can't deal with any places where crackheads and prostitutes are running wild. Thanks for the suggestion mr.bum. Couldn't find much info about them on the web and they don't have a phone number? |

Re: Vegas for a month...where do I stay?
I lived in Henderson for a little over a month. There are plenty of affordable housing options since this is where many people who work in Vegas live. Check out craigslist for possible sublet opportunities. I rented a spare room for $500 in a condo complex with two pools and a fitness room. It was about a 10-15 minute drive to the strip, but a $35 taxi ride or 1 1/2 hours by bus. All of Henderson I saw seemed nice and reasonably safe.
