Get a vaporizer. If you can't afford a sweet one like a volcano. I know how to build one. let me know if you're interested it costs about 60$ to get all the materials. It doesn't look as baller as the volcano but it uses the same principle design.

My apartment had smoke detectors in the main room + bedroom. I smoked all the time (tobacco + wacky tobacky). No problems for me.

Do the types of smoke produce different heat levels? That's all I can think of.
